Come Get a Taste of Life Up Tunket!
Oma's Cabin and More...
Guests from around the world venture their way to Oma’s Cabin, our Airbnb off-grid retreat that is accessible only by foot-and-sled throughout much of the winter. Set in a pristine forest abutting The Nature Conservancy’s North Pawlet Hills Preserve, Oma’s (Erin’s Mom) two-story tiny house offers a respite for digital natives and the digitally-averse alike.Ā
Step out the cabin door, and you’re on your way to explore the preserve and to take in the breathtaking 360 degree vista from atop Haystack Mountain, a 90-minute hike from the cabin. A jewel of the Taconic Range, Haystack offers a perch high above the Mettowee Valley, flanked to the east by the Green Mountains and the Adirondacks to the west. Swimming holes, lakes, hikes, and the renowned Slate Valley biking trails are complemented by some of New England’s best local food and drink venues.
