Philip has studied, taught, worked, and traveled extensively for more than forty years, using the lenses of food and agriculture to delve into cultures, landscapes, and human-built systems. Extensive travel, combined with a diverse professional portfolio and a deep connection to his mountain homes, provides Philip with an extensive network of collaborators for tackling complex challenges related to food systems development, analysis, and education.

As a consultant and a volunteer, Philip has collaborated with organizations and companies to strategically advocate for local and pesticide-free food systems; to design and refine community and educational farms; to develop and fundraise for food and agriculture infrastructure; to create innovative curricula and educational opportunities in higher education; to effectively communicate organizational, scientific, and economic project impacts; and to advance ethical and regenerative livestock systems.
